Screen/Society -- AMI Showcase: Robert Yeoman '73 Retrospective -- "Rushmore" (35mm)

Film Screening:

Rushmore
(Wes Anderson, 1998, 93 min, USA, in English, Color, 35mm)

A perfectly realized comic masterpiece, Wes Anderson's Rushmore is a colorful, energetic, graceful and hilarious film with uncommon sensitivity and optimism. Jason Schwartzman stars as a prep school student too involved with his dozens of extracurricular activities to bother with studies. He befriends a depressed, middle-aged millionaire (Bill Murray in one of the best performances of his career), but a conflict arises when they fall for the same woman.

"One of the freshest, richest, most original films to come out of Hollywood in a very long time." -- New York Daily News
