Bachelor of Arts, Visual & Media Studies: Cinematic Arts Concentration
This concentration allows students deep engagement in a range of approaches within film studies, moving image history, theory, and practices – from film/video production and digital imaging to the myriad ways in which time-based media can become an element of mixed media works and installation art in historical and contemporary contexts.
A minor in Cinematic Arts is also available.
Bachelor of Arts, Global Cultural Studies: Film & Media Concentration
The Film and Media concentration offers you the opportunity to study media in all of its complexity – as a social, technical, historical, and industrial process of communication that is central to the processes of modernization and globalization. This concentration provides an interdisciplinary framework for the critical study of visual, aural, and tactile media central to global culture today.
Certificate in Documentary Studies
This program involves community-based research and fieldwork. Working in one or more documentary mediums—photography, filmmaking, writing, audio, performance, among others—students explore a particular issue, community, family, or individual.
